The transformation
Since 2016, the Men's OG Long Sleeve has been the first merino piece thousands of travellers, runners and hikers own. Here's why it's still the one we keep making — and the one most people keep coming back to.
Before
Tops that smell after one wear. Layers that trap sweat. Pieces that fall apart after a season of real use.
The shift
100% New Zealand merino, 18.5 micron, with the classic relaxed fit and Original thumbloops we've been making since 2016. The piece you'll actually want to live in.
After
Travel layer. Run layer. Base layer for the snow. Daily layer at home. The shirt that goes everywhere you do — and still looks the part nine years in.
Designed in New Zealand. The original since 2016.
Compare the lineup
Same 18.5 micron New Zealand merino across the range. The difference is how heavy you want it, and how you plan to wear it.
At a glance.
Built for the way you live
Not warmth, not softness, not durability — all three. Made the way good clothing used to be made.
01 — Original
Look at almost any M365 photo since 2016 and you'll see them: a D-shaped loop extending up from the cuff, framed by a 1.5cm self-fabric edge for shape and support. Pull it over your hands on a cold morning. Push it back when you don't need it. If you'd rather have something hidden and sleek, that's the Standard's Ninja design. But the Original is the one that built this brand.
Distinctive D-shaped Original thumbloops on the OG. Hidden Ninja thumbholes on the Standard. Same wool, two ways to wear it.
02 — Heritage
When we got the OG right the first time, we stopped trying to fix it. Same wool standard, same weight, same classic relaxed fit nine years on — because thousands of customers told us not to change a thing. The piece you can buy now, replace in five years, and have it feel exactly the same.
Worn by travellers, runners, hikers and skiers since 2016. 69+ reviews per colour.
03 — Real wool
Soft against the skin from the first wear — the kind of softness that makes you forget you're wearing wool at all. No itch, no scratch. Just the feeling of something honest, made from something real.
18.5 micron New Zealand merino. The same wool standard across our range, since 2016.

From one of ours
From Auckland to the Arctic Circle.
Bought two for our family trip to Lapland — 275km north of the Arctic Circle. We had extreme weather gear for the conditions, but it all starts with the right base layer. 10/10.
Ships same day from Auckland.
What's included
Here's what arrives, who's behind it, and how we stand behind every piece.
200gsm of NZ merino. Since 2016.
The original. 100% New Zealand merino at 18.5 micron, classic relaxed fit, and D-shaped Original thumbloops on a 1.5cm self-fabric cuff. The piece thousands of travellers, runners and hikers have made their daily layer for nearly a decade.
Independently run.
When you buy from us, you're supporting a family team in NZ — not a global corporation. We answer the emails. We pack the orders. We've been doing this since 2016.
Always a nice offer in the cart as well.
Faulty? Full refund. Change of mind? 30-day exchange or store credit — we stand behind every piece.
Questions, answered
The honest answers to what most people ask us. If yours isn't here, get in touch.
A classic relaxed cut — generous through the body and shoulders, with sleeves long enough to extend to the base of the thumb. Available in Medium Tall and Large Tall if you need extra body length. Our model is 6'0" and wears a Large. Comfortable solo, easy to layer under a jacket or over a base layer.
The wool comes from New Zealand high-country flocks — the same 18.5 micron standard we've used across our range since 2016. The garment is finished in China by a trusted manufacturing partner we've worked with for the same eight years.
Machine wash cold on the gentle or wool cycle, using wool detergent. Lay flat or line dry. Don't bleach. Treat it like a piece you want to keep for years, not seasons.
No to all three, when cared for properly. At 18.5 micron, the fibres are fine enough to sit soft against bare skin — no scratch. The single jersey knit holds its shape and resists pilling. Wash on the wool cycle and lay flat, and it'll look the same in year five as it does on day one.
The OG is the original — the long sleeve we've been making since 2016, and the one thousands of people own first. Classic relaxed fit. D-shaped Original thumbloops on a 1.5cm self-fabric cuff. Same 200gsm of 18.5 micron NZ merino as the Standard, but with a more generous cut and visible thumb design. The Standard is the OG refined — modern fit, wider 5cm cuffs, hidden Ninja thumbholes. The Crew Sweatshirt is the heaviest piece at 300gsm — an outer layer for cold mornings. The OG is the one you'll layer with everything. (See the comparison above.)
You've got 30 days to exchange it for the right size or take store credit. You cover return shipping; we cover the new piece coming out to you. Faulty or not as described? Full refund, always.
One last thing
Same shirt since 2016. Same wool, same weight, same classic fit — restocked and refined where it matters, untouched where it counts. The piece thousands of customers have made their first M365 buy, and many more keep coming back for.
