The transformation
Most mid-layers trap sweat, chafe on the move, and get peeled off the moment you stop. Here's how 200gsm New Zealand merino, engineered to perform, changes that.
Before
Synthetic zips that hold sweat and stink. Seams that chafe on a long day. Zips that catch and rub at the chin. Layers you peel off the moment you stop moving.
The shift
Flatlocked seams for zero chafe, cuff binding that keeps heat in, and a dual-layer zip guard so the zip never touches skin. Warm when it needs to be, cool when it counts.
After
Layer it under a shell on snow days, pull it on post-session, or wear it solo on the couch. The layer you forget you're wearing — until you realise you've worn it all week.
Designed in New Zealand. Built to perform, made to live in.
Compare the lineup
Same 18.5 micron New Zealand merino across the range. The difference is how you wear it — zip up and head out, pull on for every day, or layer up for the cold.

Built for the way you live
Not warmth, not performance, not durability — all three. Made the way good gear used to be made.
01 — Engineered
Flatlocked seams sit flat against the skin for zero chafe on a long day. A dual-layer zip guard means the zip never touches your neck — no cold metal, no rubbing at the chin. Cuff binding keeps your sleeves down and the heat in. Every detail earns its place.
Flatlocked seams. Dual-layer zip guard. Cuff binding that stays put.
02 — Trans-seasonal
Merino regulates your body temperature instead of fighting it — so the same 1/4 zip works under a shell on a snow day and on its own when the sun comes out. It breathes when you do, wicks moisture as you move, and stays fresh wear after wear without a single synthetic fibre.
Wear it more, wash it less. (Within reason — use your judgement, of course.)
03 — Real wool
Soft against the skin from the first wear — the kind of softness that makes you forget you're wearing wool at all. No itch, no scratch. Just the feeling of something honest, made from something real.
18.5 micron New Zealand merino. The same wool standard across our range, since 2016.

Questions, answered
The honest answers to what most people ask us. If yours isn't here, get in touch.
An easy, athletic fit — room to move and layer without being baggy. Sits well over a base layer or worn on its own. Available in S to 2XL; our model wears a Large. Reviewers describe it as a good, easy fit that's true to size.
The wool comes from New Zealand high-country flocks — the same 18.5 micron standard we've used across our range since 2016. The garment is finished in China by a trusted manufacturing partner we've worked with for the same eight years.
Machine wash cold on the gentle or wool cycle, using wool detergent. Lay flat or line dry. Don't bleach. Treat it like a piece you want to keep for years, not seasons.
No to all three, when cared for properly. At 18.5 micron, the fibres are fine enough to sit soft against bare skin — no scratch. The flatlocked seams and quality knit hold their shape and resist pilling. Wash on the wool cycle and lay flat, and it'll look the same in year five as it does on day one.
The 1/4 Zip is our performance layer — 200gsm merino with flatlocked seams, a dual-layer zip guard, and a zip neck you can open up when you heat up. It's built for active days and snow. The Standard Long Sleeve is the everyday crew-neck layer at the same weight, and the Crew Sweatshirt is the heaviest piece at 300gsm for cold-weather warmth. For the coldest days, layer the 1/4 Zip under a shell, or over a Standard. Same wool standard across all three. (See the comparison above.)
You've got 30 days to exchange it for the right size or take store credit. You cover return shipping; we cover the new piece coming out to you. Faulty or not as described? Full refund, always.
